FAQs
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is a giclee (pronounced zhee-klay) print?
Giclee prints are specialised high quality prints using beautiful heavyweight papers and archival inks that will not fade. Artists and illustrators choose giclee printing because the reproduction qualities are far superior and give a feel of an original piece of art. They are usually signed limited editions of for example 50 which adds to the exclusivity.
Will my print look like it does on screen?
As I check my prints for accuracy of colour to the original your print should look as it does on screen. There can be very slight differences depending on which type of device your are viewing on.
How do I flatten my print if it has been rolled in a packing tube?
I send larger prints in a sturdy tube. To flatten, please gently roll the print (in it’s tissue packing to avoid marks) in the opposite direction around the outside of the tube and secure with an elastic band for a short while.
Do you supply frames for prints?
I don’t supply frames, however I always try to ensure that prints will fit ready made frames (Ikea, Habitat, John Lewis etc).
Can I order a print that is not in your online shop?
Yes that is possible. Any artwork I display can be a potential giclee print but always in a limited edition of 50.
Can I order a print at a different size to those listed?
Yes, although the maximum short side of paper is 24” / 610mm. I would calculate the cost and it would be numbered as part of the limited edition.
Do you offer next day delivery?
All my prints are printed on demand and this can take up to 7 days. I pack and post all orders myself so please allow for this when ordering a print. If you are buying an original artwork and live locally then the next day is possible.
Will you make extra prints if the limit of 50 is reached?
I only sell limited edition prints. Once they’ve gone…they’ve gone.
Will my print be signed?
Yes I sign, date and number every print in the edition.
Do you deliver locally?
I am happy to deliver if you are within 10 miles of Wetherby.
